I am learning to sound out three letter words. Attempt new words and think what makes sense?

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new letter sounds and words.

"I liked when Bingo chases the girl" Alex said.

I am learning to have a try to spell words using my alphabet card and using known letter sounds

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like writing our ideas in a sentence and writing some sounds in words.

"I can sound out tricky words" Alex said

Chinese Dragon

We have been learning about different celebrations this term.  This is my Chinese dragon.  I was learning to make the body shape look like a dragon and cut out the different dragon shapes.

"I was good at colouring inside the black lines and making my dragon body shape."

Number Combinations

We have been learning our number combinations to 10.

"It is tricky for me to remember my combinations to 10 when the middle number is missing eg 7+?=10." 

I am learning to look at the first and last sounds in words to help me work out new words

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like letters, drawing a picture that matches our story and also remembering to do finger spaces between words. 

"I like it when I can write some words" Alex said.

I am learning attributes of numbers to 10

In Maths we have been looking for numbers in every day situations.  We have been making sets and coming up with different ways to write numbers.

"Here are 5 vehicles.  I am 5 years old.  I see the number 5 on mailboxes."
